Richard Branson, CEO of Virgin Atlantic and Startup; Boom Technology have partnered to build a Supersonic Aircraft.This new Boom Supersonic Jet will fly 2-times faster than the speed of sound.WOW!.....This would set a new speed record for any civil aircraft i.e Excluding Jet Bombers and Stealth Bombers.

This Sky wonder will only travel 5.5 hrs between San Francisco and Tokyo.The now retired Concorde was capable of flying at speeds of about 2180 km/hr and this passenger aircraft would be capable of travelling even faster at 2335 km/hr.

A prototype of the eventual full-size Boom aircraft will carry 55 passengers in all-business-class configuration will be designed.The baby Boom's first test flight is scheduled for 2018.
