MongoDB Atlas offers companies a database service that can be managed in a cloud. Mongo takes care of all the heavy burden of database service in the cloud so developers can relax more and manage their data as they wish.
With this feature, companies can choose a cloud provider they wish, and then move the MondoDB database running on Atlas wherever they want it. According to MongoDB CTO and co-founder Eliot Horowitz, the service provider does not matter who it is, it can set a data location policy, choose a company or location that provides cloud service, and you can see a preview of what you will get graphically on the world map.
In the last month of the European Union Data Protection Directive (GDPR), many small-to-medium-sized enterprises have proven that the management of their data is entirely in their hands and it also meant a lot of work for many companies. Thanks to MongoDB's Atlas and Global Clusters tools, all companies can have geographic control of their data entirely.
This feature has been turned on to Atlas users as of our last day.
