Continuing with the main subject of my last and most recent post. It turns out that after publishing it, I suddenly decided to start a quick investigation to find out a few things I wanted to know and see with what I would stumble upon. And... ¡Oh boy! Did I actually stumbled upon far more things than I would have liked? ¡You betcha!

By instance, I stumbled upon the fact that the only existent dApp or tool to find out who have muted you on Hive and which provided you with a complete list of everyone who has done so. This tool no longer existed and had been deleted from the website that offered it.

Uhm, I wonder why the one who offered this tool suddenly decided to remove it. Why would anyone want to eliminate a tool and service like this? Could it be that there are people or interests within Hive who don't want or it doesn't suit them that someone knows who has muted them? Doesn't this seem a bit suspicious to you?

And well, faced with this sudden and unexpected disappearance, I simply decided to create quickly my own dApp/Tool to find out what I wanted to find out. Find out how many new hypocrites I had acquired and who they were. Something that would be quick and easy to find out and verify. And that's how "Hive Mute Checker" was born.

As you can see in the screenshot above, I currently have 41 hypocrites who have muted me. It seems I acquired four new hypocrites since the last time I checked on the old dApp which is now defunct. And yes, that screenshot only is showing the first six on my list, but obviously the other 35 can be seen by simply scrolling down.

¿Why do I call hypocrites to those who have muted me?

Oh! I call them hypocrites because in my particular case, I have several individuals who have muted me and behave in that way, like hypocrites. Since it's assumed that if they have muted me, they don't want and they shouldn't be able to know, see, or read what I have posted in order to interact with my content. Since they're supposedly ignoring me.

And yet that's not the case. These hypocrites are definitely constantly watching me, snooping around my blog and keeping an eye on everything I post from their puppet accounts to "interact" with my articles and comments. Usually in a negative way.

For example, I have a hypocrite who's part of a gang of hypocrites who've had me muted for a long time. And this hypocrite, even though I'm the only person he has muted, this brainless hypocrite interacts with and votes each and every one of my posts and comments. But wait, isn't he supposed to be unable to see what I post because he has me muted and is ignoring me? Well, those are the mysteries you'll want to unravel with my brandnew Hive dApp. The venerable "Hive Mute Checker" soon at your fingertips.

Perhaps, just perhaps, I will decide to publish and share the link to make the tool freely accessible for everyone use on Hive. Or maybe not. But that's only because I'm still giving some cosmetic tweaks to the UI and making a few technical adjustments to add and incorporate new great features that I know you would like to have.
