I wonder how many social media options are out there currently in 2018? I quickly counted how many I am registered on and got to 10. Obviously, I am not using all them as often as some others. Some I have not visited in ages and may not have the passwords anymore. Others may seem active as they are set up to automatically draw posts from another of my sites. My 10 are listed in the picture above.
In 2015 approximately 2 billion people used social media sites. More than 2.6 billion are expected to use such sites this year. The increase in the use of mobile devices has a big influence on this growth.
In searching for information about social media, I came across an article claiming to list fifty social media sites of which I need to take note. Fifty?!? How many are there out there?
Of course, everyone has their own preferences. I'm a common man and have prefered Facebook, as most people do. Everyone I know is on it and it has evolved quite rapidly, keeping my interest. WhatsApp seems to have taken over the world of communication and some businesses use more WhatsApp than email.
