Cloud storage is a very useful facility. I know there are potential security and privacy issues, but I've lost data due to a drive failure before and value anything that makes backing up easier. It's also very useful to have access to your files from anywhere.
I'm paying for some Google Drive storage, but they do not provide software to manage this for Linux. Some time ago I found Insync that does a pretty good job of synchronising my files. I can scan a photo and have it backed up in seconds. Currently Insync have an offer to get this for free. It's normally $30. It's also available for Windows and Mac. I think it offers more facilities than the Google app.
