China is the best example of a country that, with little significance, has become a superpower in just a few years, without which world's industry giants mean nothing. It is in the Middle Kingdom that everything what is the largest and the most expensive in the world is currently being created. This is where technology from sci-fi films takes place before our eyes and takes on a tangible shape.
Unfortunately, at the same time as technological progress is being made, the Chinese authorities are creating increasingly sophisticated systems specializing in permanently cluttering citizens with all privacy rights.
Recently, we have informed you about the extremely fast and large-scale technology of identifying people, gathering information about them and using them against them, and later about the project even more frightening.
Now we find out that he has already left the experiment phase and has become a reality for more than 1.4 billion citizens of the Middle Kingdom. It is the Citizens' Assessment System or, if you prefer, the Social Credit System.
Every resident of China will now be assessed in terms of loyalty to the ruling party and historical changes implemented by it. Points are awarded for every manifestation of patriotism and obedience, based on data obtained from friends, friends, supervisors and social networking sites.
The evaluation of every Chinese is now available to everyone online, thanks to which everyone can check whether a person is trustworthy, can rely on it or do business. People with more points will be able to count on more favorable loans, earnings, distinctions, and their children will be able to attend better schools and get better paid positions at work.
The first official blow to citizens is the introduction of a project blocking the purchase of airline and rail tickets, i.e. no possibility of faster travel for those who occupy the lowest positions in the ranking. In total, the new restrictions will cover around 7 million citizens, but it is already predicted that the number will increase significantly.
In addition, those who are already caught in the course of the new system will be caught smoking or consuming alcohol in various means of public transport, or will be in a hurry or make some damage. The Big Brother's Eye will be based in more than 600 million urban monitoring cameras in two years.
The system from the Orwellian novel was to come into force in 2020, but the authorities are so pleased with it that it has already become a reality. From now on, this system will be the main determinant of social status in the Middle Kingdom.
