4th Teenvestor Discord Server’s Open Discussion

Last 12^th of May, members of the Teenvestors Discord Server held it 4^th Open Discussion which is always held during Saturday evening 21:00 (GMT +8) onwards and it was first hosted by

Hive account@jassennessaj and thankfully,

Hive account@morken and

Hive account@smaeunabs had been hosting the open discussions after our first open discussion.

The roadmap for last Saturday’s open discussion was about the platforms that are running in the Steem blockchain like Utopian-io, DLive, Dtube, Dmania and etc. And lastly was the community based accounts here in Steemit like Hive account@bayanihan, Hive account@curie, Hive account@sndbox and etc.

As for me, I was informed less than an hour or two before the open discussion was about to start that those are the roadmap for Saturday’s Open Discussion, and I was tasked to discuss about Hive account@utopian-io; Hive account@morken approached me for that since I was a former moderator in Utopian under the translations category. So without hesitation I agreed and just look the latest updates on each categories that Utopian is currently accepting at this moment of time. At that time also I was composing for the article that I am going to submit for Hive account@sndbox-alpha’s Science and Education theme wherein I prepared about how refrigerants are being name.

So when the 21:00 arrived, we started it with the “Lord’s Prayer” and then, I was introduced by Hive account@morken as the first speaker which will be discussing about Utopian.io. So I discuss every detail of Utopian.io, what is the very reason they were created and I told my Teenvestors fellow member that Hive account@utopian-io is the first of its kind that incentivises contributors to Open Source projects. And at the same time I explained what is an open source project. And I explained every category starting from the Bug Hunting down to the Task Requests. And I was so amazed that I delivered it well, since it is my first time doing that type of conversation or conference thru online wherein there are lots of different people who listen and asked some questions, due I experienced having conference calls to my fellow engineers and my American supervisors thru Skype but it is related to business and designs, as for this one, I am like a teacher and teaching is a bit difficult for me but that time I was amazed to hear positive reactions from my fellow Teenvestors. And the only thing that got my attention is when Hive account@indayclara told me that my voice is so modulated and I just told her that it is just my normal voice when I am explaining something that is quite technical.

After that Hive account@jassennessaj discussed about Dtube and Dlive, initially it was Hive account@chuuuckie who is assigned to explained Dtube but he was having latency issues with his internet connection. And after those other platforms running in the Steem blockchain, we proceeded to the community based accounts.

For community based accounts, Hive account@jassennessaj discussed Hive account@bayanihan and its advocacy and at the same time he shared that he is a curator for Hive account@bayanihan. We were so amazed of their vision and he explained to us how they started and how they are being mentored by Hive account@sndbox especially Hive account@donkeypong and at the same time our very own Hive account@surpassinggoogle. And all of us Teenvestors were so happy with our open discussion. And overall, it was very productive night. Though I continued working on my Science and Education article, I listened and sometimes chat in the channel since I opted muting after I am done with my presentation.
