The Walking Dead has had a long run, and for a while it was awesome. It didn't take long for AMC to start shrinking the budget and stretching the story to maximize profits. I believe by the 3rd or 4th season it was already obvious things were going south. I stuck it out, as I felt I was so invested might as well see it through.
Then we had the great cliffhanger episode, the season was already weak and they decided to pull the greatest cliffhanger in tv history. Except maybe for The Sopranos ending (James Gandolfini I really miss you, The Mexican was your greatest victory). Then we had the whole Dumpster thing.
The show has a fantastic cast, amazing actors, amazing atmosphere. The pacing and direction are way off track. It is just so hard to get excited about the show at this point. In the end, I'll watch it. I have 7 years invested in the show, might as well see where it goes.
So tomorrow, I'll watch it if I find the time. Hopefully, it picks up and is worth it.
Anyone else going to watch it? Feel the same way? Did you already give up?
Hope it doesn't suck.
