Hello, Fellow Citizens!
We have been heads-down building and today I want to share some of the biggest UI improvements the game has seen in a while — two brand new pages, a completely revamped planet exploration experience, and a handful of polish fixes under the hood.
Let's get into it.
The Shop is Open
Players can now purchase Common Crates directly from the new Shop page. Crates contain randomly generated items — the rarity of the crate determines your odds of landing something rare. Common Crates are priced in SCRAP and show you the live USD equivalent so you always know what you're paying.
More crate tiers are on the way. For now, Common Crates are your entry point into the item economy — a great way to put accumulated SCRAP to work and gear up your character.
Built-in Token Swap
No more leaving the game to swap tokens. The new Swap page integrates directly with Hive Keychain's swap service, letting you swap between SCRAP, FLUX, HIVE, SWAP.HIVE, and a dozen other Hive-Engine tokens without ever leaving TerraCore.
The right panel shows your live portfolio balances with USD values so you can make informed decisions at a glance. A small 0.25% Terracore fee is collected on each swap — this goes straight into the game treasury and helps fund ongoing development and rewards.
Powered by Hive Keychain. Their routing fee applies on top of the Terracore cut, and everything is displayed transparently before you confirm.
Immersive Full-Screen Planet Exploration
The Colonies screen got a complete visual overhaul. Planets now take over your entire screen — beautiful, cinematic artwork fills the viewport as you scroll through the carousel.
Each planet card shows the boss waiting on that world, the rewards for defeating it, and your cooldown timer right at a glance. The experience feels much more like stepping into a world rather than clicking through a list.
Full-Screen Boss Fight Arena
When you drill into a planet to fight its boss, you are now dropped into a full-screen boss arena. The artwork dominates the screen — from the eerie Abyssal Kraken lurking in Neptolith's ocean depths to the Sandworm tearing through TerraCore's dunes.
The fight screen shows live drop rate breakdowns — Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Legendary percentages — plus death chance and loot chance all on one screen. And if a fight is already in progress or you have recently fought, the button grays out with a loading spinner so you cannot accidentally double-submit.
Under the Hood
A couple of smaller but important fixes shipped alongside the big stuff:
- Admin panel auto-save — Planet images uploaded via the admin panel now save automatically. The active/inactive toggle also saves immediately without needing to hit Apply Changes.
- Fight button state — The fight button stays grayed out with a spinner while a boss fight transaction is pending, preventing duplicate submissions.
What Is Coming Next
The Shop will be expanding with more crate tiers and eventually direct item purchases. We are also deep into the Quest Revamp — if you missed the last post, that one is going to be a big one for the economy and for daily gameplay depth.
If you have not tried TerraCore yet, jump in at terracoregame.com — it is free to start on the Hive blockchain.
