I’ve always loved bringing a little bit of nature indoors, but space and time constraints always held me back. So I decided to try making a terrarium in a jar. I like most found myself doom strolling through tiktok and finally decided to build one.
What surprised me the most? How simple and affordable it was. All you need is a clear jar, some small plants, a bit of soil, and a few decorative rocks or moss.
I followed a few easy steps:
- Layer small stones at the bottom for drainage.
- Add activated charcoal to keep things fresh.
- Add a layer of soil suitable for your plants.
- Carefully plant your miniature greenery.
- Finish with decorative moss or tiny ornaments.
Not only does this mini jungle brighten up my space, but it’s also low maintenance and makes me feel calmer throughout the day.
