Hello, friends! I want to talk about the world Cup that is currently taking place in my country.
I've never been keen on football. I didn't even know the names of the famous players. I only heard about Cristiano Ronaldo and in my childhood- Diego Maradona.
I was waiting with some curiosity when the world Cup will begin in Russia, because everyone was talking about it and Russia for the first time in its history became the host country of the world Cup. But I wasn't going to watch the matches, the games of the teams.
And here is I accidentally learned that organized contest, аnd my two favorite witnesses
аnd
support this contest. The first time I for fun tried to guess the winning team. I did!
I loved it. And also liked the beautiful badges of my steemitboard I began every day to try to guess the winners.
Now I take the 228th place in the ranking. I have 27 badges! By the way, me and are on the same page. I guess I'm lucky as a rookie :) I've already watched some football matches. It's very exciting!!!! I am very worried when I look at the faces of the players. There are so many real emotions!!
Some matches we watch together with my father-in-law. He is a football fan and tells me a lot about football. I don't know the rules yet.
Also I really like the atmosphere in my city! A lot of football fans came to St. Petersburg. I do not know the city center and do not hear the Russian language. I feel like I'm somewhere in another country.
I took some pictures to show you what my city looks like now. Here is Fan ID Center.
Football fans register here.
All Russia is involved in the world Cup. Children drew pictures about football. These pictures were hung on the fence near the kindergarten. It's so nice.
A lot of football fans on the main street of the city - Nevsky prospect. There's fanfest. There are a lot of cheerful and friendly people from all over the world. They are dressed in colors of flags of their countries. I have heard the songs and hymns of different countries that they sing. Street musicians also play the hymns of different countries.
Here is the time that is left before the next match
And it is a symbol "Zabivaka". This word means the one who scores goals. Everyone wants to be photographed with Zabivaka.
Here is a passage to the fanfest zone, where football fans watch the matches. This is an area that has several large screens. When there are no matches, there is an entertainment program with performances of artists.
No one's in a hurry or pushing. All neatly stand in line to go to the square.
This is a small part of the area. I didn't go there and take pictures from afar.
When Russia won the match against Spain, it was a national holiday. I was in the middle of the city at that moment. It was fantastic! All the cars were making beeps, happy people were shouting "Russia! Russia!" and congratulated each other. A foreigner shouting - "I congratulate you Russian guys!! It lasted many hours.
I hope that football fans were satisfied with their stay in my country. I'm sorry this is going to end soon. I will miss this atmosphere of General fun.
Cheers
