Sunday evening sunset was quite unexpected as we had grey sky throughout the day. The forecast said the rain would be about 60% in this area. I wonder if we had to prepare for another electricity failure. I didn’t have the time to go for a walk by the river. So, the sun made it up to me by showing me beautiful golden hour colours in the sky right in front of my house. I was very busy with trying to trap three cats in the bamboo cage to prepare them for the vet.
I did manage to trap all three cats by placing fried fish inside. They did not like to be caged at all. It was very difficult to try to make them understand my reasons. The mother cat was very upset so I had to stay by the cage talking to them for a long time.
วันอาทิตย์เราไม่มีเวลาไปเดินเล่นริมโขง เพราะต้องคิดเรื่องเอาแมวใส่กรงไม่ไผ่ เพื่อเตรียมแมวไปหาหมอในวันรุ่งขึ้น ตอนบ่ายต้องรอเวลาอาหารของแมว พอถึงเวลาก็เอาปลาทูไปวางในกรง เราเรียกแม่แมวให้เข้าไปก่อน ตามด้วยลูกทีละตัว ตัวสุดท้ายใช้เวลามากกว่าจะยอมเข้าไป พอเราปิดประตูกรงมันก็ตกใจ พอรู้ว่าออกไม่ได้แน่นอน มันก็พยายามหาทาง แหกกรง เราต้องคอยนั่งคุยทำความเข้าใจกับแมวอยู่นาน
พระอาทิตย์คงเข้าใจความตั้งใจดีของเรา จึงอุตส่าห์ส่งแสงสีทองและสีชมพูมาให้เราดูถึงหน้าบ้าน โชคดีที่ฝนตกเบามาก ลมพาเมฆไปทางอื่นทำให้อากาศเย็นสบาย แมวพยายามขุดและเขี่ยกรงกัน แต่เราบอกให้อดทนรอถึงตอนเช้า จะพาไปหาหมอ แมวต้องอดอาหารและน้ำก่อนอย่างน้อยแปดชั่วโมง เราสงสารแมวมากๆ เพราะมันไม่เคยถูกขังกรงมาก่อนเลย มันต้องสูญเสียอิสรภาพอีกหลายวัน. โชคดีที่หมอยอมรับฝากแมวไว้หลายวันจนกว่าเราจะไปรับกลับมาได้
