Since June 23, liquids, gels, sprays, food, and many other everyday items have been banned from all Thai airports and planes. Basically, all of these items must be under 100 milliliters. If all these listed items are more than 100 milliliters, they have no more to look for in the passenger areas or on a plane and may not be transported.
The ban applies to all 28 airports of the CAA authority. On Friday, the CAA informed the airports about the implementation of the ban in a videoconference with the airports.
The signage in Thai language shows that even popular foods such as curry and "Nam Prik" (a popular Thai spice) are also banned if sufficient quantities are available. Each passenger may only have a total of less than a total of 1,000 milliliters of such products.
In addition, these products must be in sealed containers, which must also indicate the quantity.
Products and items that are now on the list of prohibited items include:
Water, Beverages, Soup, Syrup, Jam, Stew, Sauce, Nam Prik, Foods in Sauces, Creams, Lotions, Cosmetics, Oil, Perfume, Toothpaste, Shampoo, Shower Gel, Spray, Foam, Mascara, Lipstick and Lip Balm.
