I asked
about it, and she suggested I apply. She's been one of my mentors since I joined Steemit just over a month ago.

may also verify that I'm only crazy in a good way.
I want to join because my interactions with
members have been amazing. I would be honored to be part of such a group and realize I still have a lot to learn.
I have always been able to cross barriers and be a liaison between many disparate groups of people. Specifically, I co-Admin Steemit's LGBT Server on Discord, and for reasons I can't fathom,
trusted me with its leadership. I'm told at least once a week that I'm not what someone expected (which says more about their expectations than anything) and that my conduct is an example to which others should aspire. It's not really all that - I just try to behave honorably at all times, especially when it's easier not to do so. I have a weekly project curating the best and worst content on Steemit related to the LGBT community. The most recent installment can be read here, and I am definitely seeking ways to improve the quality of both this project specifically and my content generally.
(Using "I" so much feels overly self-absorbed, but I (again with the "I"!) hope this application is satisfactory and will be glad to answer any other questions the officers may have.)
