As most people were sweating with the new changes in HF21 being unleashed today, I was at a funeral. Those that don't know, my niece of 19 years old died last Friday morning to some freak puking incident. Many tears and some arguing, but it went off ok. Not everyone there was Catholic. The final two acts were of releasing the Trinity doves and then her spirit dove, followed by a dozen roses of the closest to her. Her mother gave my two oldest Princesses one and even my youngest boy, who just turned 19, one to lay on her casket before they lowered it. I circled her with tobacco and closed her life circle so she could start anew - wherever that may be.
On the relatively quiet drive home, I watched the sunset and noticed an opening in the storm clouds that were in the shape of a dove against the salmon and carmine sky. As I was driving, I could not get a picture, but the mental image is forever burned into the back of my retinas. The picture I did get, one will most likely never see again. That is my warrior princess' great grandmother. She is not all there but we have a connection. Soon as she saw me enter the funeral home, she started reaching for my hand. It's her comfort and link to the physical I suppose. She also has the same connection with Khaldeesi. Made me choke up a little and had to get a shot of her.
My day was not peaches and cream and I see a lot of stress out there just from the blockchain hiccups. I have 5 birthdays this month - one being my 'better half' and both my eldest sons' of which only one is within reach. Plus, my father-in-law and Elana. Who, now instead of a birthday at the beginning of August, will most likely be remembered on her death near the end.
Not sure how I just turned this into something thoughtful, but I believe I did. My point of this is to keep your chin up my peoples, there is more to life than just the STEEM blockchain. Be absolutely sure to enjoy what time you have with dear ones as you never know when it will be the last time for you or them. And, as you do, REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even when I'm just bird watching.
