Block Party II in Nashville, Tennessee was nothing short of ABSOLUTELY EPIC!!
Before I get into the details, I want to say a big THANK YOU to all the artists that came out and performed.
Then I need to acknowledge the kick-ass human, event planner, host with the most, man with the plan, and someone I am proud to call a friend
Nice work brother, thank you :)
The Main Event
The concert, well I hesitate to say that because it was so much more than that, was really cool. It was held at a place called H.O.M.E - Helping Our Music Evolve. It's a shared space meant for music artists, producers, and the like to rehearse, record, or play live music.
When you walk in the front door of this place it does not seem like your everyday concert venue, and it's not! You first step in to a lobby that also feels like a living room (couches, chairs coffee tables...). To the left is a door which leads to a communal kitchen and the restrooms. Continuing in from the front door you pass through a short hallway (also lined with THE MOST comfortable couch I've sat in for a while). There are a couple doors on the right in this hallway which lead to two professional recording studios.
The far end of the hallway opens into the live/stage room
If you have a minute and want to see inside for yourself, here is a cool, self-guided walk-through of the facility https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=nDmnH4kWdvD&wmode=opaque
As you can see it was quite an intimate place with a relaxed atmosphere, which helped it feel like exactly what it was, hangin' with the fam 💞
The Show
So. Much. Fun.
There is so much talent on our blockchain, not the least of which is musical. I don't spend as much time on Hive as I use to and a lot of these artists (ok all of them) were unknown to me before Witty started promoting the show.
It was a full spectrum of talent, from the guy who was on stage for the first time to professional musicians, and I enjoyed it all.
I tend to stay in the moment at live shows and rarely take out my phone for pictures but I did get this snap in the kitchen after I found the blue Coleman cooler ;)
Anyhow, back to the music. Thanks again to all the artists that showed up and did their thing. Instead of trying to describe it more I'll link some posts with pictures and videos

The Fam
It was fun finally meeting &
. After watching Dave on Hive every damn day for years I felt like I knew him already.
Got to meet , whom I've seen around Hive here and there, and
who I have not seen around Hive but probably from my lack of noticing ;)
These two were the first Hivers I met since getting in town and it was sort of like meeting a distant cousin. We didn't know each other directly but it was an easy conversation as we had friends and fam in common.
Also special mention to all around good guy and funny mofo with a bottomless pit of a stomach (he smashed 4, yes FOUR, "everything" BBQ sammies from the dinner truck 🤣)
This guy was working hard all day doing what needed to be done and enjoying himself while doing it. Nice to meet you man.
Met other folks as well and enjoyed meeting you all!
I had a great time in Nashville, and this was the event of the year for sure! I'll leave you with one picture I did take around 5pm, while my stomach was grumbling...
Yeah, that's the Magic Man back there doing his thang (which was trying to get a free Smokin' Buttz hat I believe)
...thanks for coming along...
