For me, it became one of my current favorites alongside Macskafogó musical. To put it in one sentence: a vibrant musical comedy with lots of humor, captivating songs and super choreographies. Not a dull minute in it. Anyone who has seen the film “only” so far has many surprises in store. The essence of the story remained the same, but the lyrics changed a lot, and not just because of the songs. Lots of jokes, humorous utterances and misunderstandings, all with modern language for the present age. You can laugh at it from start to finish. Listening to the music, I would have preferred to stand behind the dancers as well. The rhythm was very good and the melodies rang all the way home to my ears, not to mention the lyrics. You can already feel from the opening music that the play will be moving. The choreography is clean, vibrant, and the dancers are a pleasure to watch. I can't even select a favorite character for this cast. It's not easy to say a favorite scene either, but maybe for me at the moment these three were my favorites: Kányai's (Zoltán Barabás Kiss) and Gyuri's (Dávid Berényi) dialogue about goose stuffing, jr. Schwartz (Attila Serbán) is the iodine number and of course the finale. But I still smile when I think of some of the scenes in the performance, so there would be a few more favorites. The performance of the Madách Theater was written by Szente Vajk based on the comedy of Ede Szigligeti, and its music was composed by Tamás Bolba. I think we were enriched again with a good Hungarian musical performance.
