This is a beautiful 900cc sport bike produced between 1973 to 1976. It was stylish for its time with its bikini fairing and two tone paintscheme. It had a top speed of 200 kmph thanks to its 67 hp engine mated to a 5 speed gearbox. It made about 76nm of torque which gives it a great performance across the rev range.
The air-cooled flat-twin engine is a boxer unit based on the R75/5. Over 17400 units were sold during the production period with the R90S getting minor upgrades each year. Some of the vintage motorcycles owners in few FB forums enjoy touring on their old R90S. It is a capable machine that did well to make the R90 series popular to this date!
