Okay, okay. THIS is the last time... hopefully.

There shall be no Play House tomorrow, Friday, December 7th, 2018. Both me and the hubs will be bringing joy to little people (kids, not midgets, dwarves, elves or those referred to as such in Native American lore. 😉)

I help run a non-profit for arts and education in one of the poorest places in the country. Yay, me? Meh. But, I do have a lot of fun creating games, buying toys and being able to teach along with award those little people with a lifetime of memories (and actual toys).

One of the projects we do is a school carnival fundraiser. We (meaning me, another guy and sometimes my hubs) bring all the items necessary to set up a carnival in their gym (including a bouncy house), they charge/ask for donations at the door, the kids (and adults) play for a couple of hours, win prizes, and the schools keep all the proceeds.

This is all paid for by a sales tax grant from our county; one of the only things giving many an opportunity to reach out.

It's a lot of work for a small amount of time, but the happiness I get to witness exploding out of kids who may not get a lot of options for fun? Priceless. 😍

I'm so sorry to be canceling again... so darned soon! I really only do these carnivals a max of 8 times per year (during the school year), and MOST occur during the week as there's often not school on Fridays here.

Oh! Also, I know I've talked about it a few times recently, but I'd really like to start WORKING some of these scripts (starting with the Steem Monsters Tavern... or maybe even Cat Ladies) and then producing them into fine works of art. I know we can do it. We shall discuss how ya'all feel about that and if slightly changing the format to 'rehearsal/entertaintment', since it's mostly just us, would be acceptable.
