The Twenty-Two Minute Mark

The most recent Hots or Shots episode uploaded by Hive account@jonny-clearwater features Hive account@lukestokes. It's part of the Nashville collection, and I was there for every episode filmed at the house after this one. So there's a certain personal connection for me. However, the reason I didn't just resteem Jonny's post is because I have something to say. Sure, I want everyone to trot right on over to Jonny's blog and upvote the original post. But just as sincerely, I want folks to really hear what these two guys were saying right around the twenty-two minute mark. If you listen closely, then everything Hive account@gmuxx and I have been saying since Gatlinburg may finally make sense.

@Thewritersblock has put everything on the line for the new front end and publishing house that we'll launch within the next few months. @GMuxx and I will board airplanes and fly across oceans to present our ideas to investors and potential users of our site. We'll be on an endless quest to raise funds, to reach the right ears, to brand our product. In Gatlinburg, we glimpsed the Promised Land, and at the twenty-two-minute mark of this video, Jonny and Luke paint a word picture of it that drives every point home.

At The Writers' Block, we see people all around us who are totally consumed with their discouragement about Steemit, who seem determined to throw the baby out with the bathwater by confusing the future of the blogging platform with the future of the blockchain. The two have nothing to do with each other. For us, what matters is that The Writers' Block is the first publishing entity in the world to drive stakes into the soil of this new ground. That means everything. This opportunity will never come again. We either make tomorrow's history, or spend the rest of our lives wishing we had.

This Hots or Shots episode is the best one yet. It's worth watching from beginning to end. But the twenty-two-minute mark is where our future as a publishing community is defined. I strongly encourage everyone to see what amazing truth came out of this conversation between Jonny and Luke.
