If you feel like sneezing, please, let it out.
Don't pinch your nose or close your mouth to hold it in. That's dangerous, as a man recently learned when he tried to contain a sneeze and ended up in the hospital with a hole in his throat.
You probably won't rupture your throat like he did, but holding in a sneeze has also been known to damage eardrums and cause ear infections. So if you have a cold, take some tissue paper or a handkerchief around with you to sneeze into. And if the sneeze catches you unawares, well, an "Excuse me" is perfectly acceptable.
Here's your weekend agenda
Talking About Your Resolution
January is barely halfway gone and if you're already failing at your New Year's resolution, it's time to give up on it, right? Wrong. What you need to do is shift your focus from the activity you're failing at to the goal of that activity. This explains it.
Ride And Die
Liam Neeson's life is practically all about hostage situations. Kidnapped wife and daughter in the Taken films. Stuck on a flight with terrorists in Non-Stop. This year, he's on a train headed for a place called disaster in The Commuter. Maybe it's not the most original story, but the promise of action is too sweet to ignore. Get a ticket on your ALAT app (tap Lifestyle on the sidebar menu) and catch the train at a cinema near you.
Newsprint
Death (in cold-blood) in Lagos, films to look forward to, predicting 2019, the megastar of Grey's Anatomy and a tribute to Ronaldinho.
The Listening Room
This weekend's soundtrack is First Daze Of Winter, the fine six-track Afrobeats EP from singer-producer Maleek Berry. Listen on Deezer or Apple Music.
Unforgotten
The Handmaid's Tale is coming back on April 25.
Falling asleep can be a pain. Now, we know why.
