3rd TeLcO of the Philippines!
With the Strong direction President Duterte to have a 3rd TELCO in the Philippines for this 1st quarter of 2018, local small players scrambled in getting this slice of a pie!
There here are the following applicants that are potential to be a 3rd player;
1.0 PT&T
2.0 CONVERGE ICT
3.0 STREAMTECH
4.0 TIERONE
5.0 NOW
Let us see which of the these 5 small player companies has the capacity to be a 3rd TELCO with the help of course of foreign partners.
PT&T- this is listed company to Philippine Stocks Exchange, however it is suspended due to voluntary trading suspension last December 09, 2004.!

According to the report of business inquirer, PT&T is in debt of Php 12Billion

PT&T is running of time because of the deadline of President and as of today, no clear foreign partner yet.
2.0 Coverge ICT- is not listed in PSE however, based on my research, the company is doing well on its broadband business. They can supply upto 100mbps to household subscribers and offices. They have this limitations, I applied to one of their field offices in Bulacan and to my dismayed, they cant install for they have no authorization to install to a certain subdivision.

The company’s presence of broadband business is in Greater Metro Manila Area, Bulacan, Pampanga, Cebu City area.
3.0 STREAMTECH SYSTEM
I have no knowledge for this Villar owned company except for this news reported by inquirer.

4.0 TIERONE- This is new company based in Davao City.

However, this will not satisfy for a 3rd TeLcO in the Philippines, they need to form a consortium to fight head to head for the duopoly (GLO & TEL).
6.0 NOW Corporation- is publicly listed company in Philippines Stock Exchange (PSE) with a Stock Symbol of NOW.
