eople have always been bashing the idea of giving up. You are supposed to never surrender, never give up. But there is a reason we sometimes want to "give up". Ask yourself what are you giving up?
I believe the universe is a living organism and we are like organs inside of it. The same way our internal organs trust us to take care of them we can also trust the universe to take care of us. But we need to learn how to communicate with it. That's where giving up comes in. Giving up is different than letting go. When you let go of something it leaves your extremities, like your hands. But when you give up something, the idea of controlling it travels up your nervous system, through your spine and leaves the body through the forehead. At least that's my experience.

When you give up, you give up control. You accept that you're not in control of the situation or whatever it is you're trying to control. It's not that you don't want things working, it's that you tell the universe "Hey, I don't know what to do here".
Just like when your stomach sends your brain the signal that it is hungry. It knows it has no control over where or how the food is delivered to it. But it trusts that it will. We can interact with the universe the same way. The giving up signal lets the bigger organism know what you need, it will try to provide it one way or another. That's why we should keep an eye out for opportunities that randomly come up. The universe is giving you what you want and it's telling you to take it.
