It is generally believed that drinking eight glasses of water a day is good. But a recent study has rejected this belief. The study has revealed that drinking more water can prove to be fatal. The researchers said that if we do something according to the demand of the body, then it is right.
That is, drink water only when you are thirsty, and avoid drinking water as per any schedule. The study has shown that the brain gives an indication of excessive water intake. This is indicated as difficulty swallowing water when there is an excessive amount. It helps in supplying water to the body as per the need.
Researchers asked the participants to rate the amount of power needed to swallow water in two situations. In the first, rating was given in drinking water when thirsty. The second situation was to drink water without thirst. The results revealed that more than three times the strength has to be applied in excess water.
