Thirteen years after it was taken by the Congress in the 2004 Lok Sabha elections, Madhya Pradesh's Kasganj seat, a reserved constituency for the scheduled castes (SCs), is set to be in play again, this time for the BJP, which has fielded Abdul Qayyum Sajjad.Sajjad, who is an aide of controversial minister of state for food and civil supplies Arun Yadav and a former Samajwadi Party leader, was sacked as the minister of state for law, justice and parliamentary affairs when he was named as the first list of candidates from the constituency.The name of former MP and district Congress chief T.S. Vijay was also listed for the seat,
