Windmills Old and New, just for the new community
&
!
Okay, so this is essentially a run down of the best photographs I've taken of different Windmills over the past six months. There are some that are old and they serve no purpose apart from being pieces of history, but some still turn, as you will see one being serviced below. I've lived here for five years and and the Netherlands is a country known for its Windmills.
Let's start with the most interesting looking, which are the old ones of course. Below is one being serviced by the caretaker and you won't be able to see it turn, so when I have the opportunity next, I'll film one turning around for everyone to see.
Now let's see this Windmill being serviced. It was super cool to see! Stage 1
Stage 2
Stage 3
Stage 4
Okay, so let's switch from the old Windmills to the new, starting with the different locations where the planners situate some of these beauties. Notice the Horses, I don't believe the sound affects them.
This one was on the actual farm, as you'll see from the next photo.
A nice big one planted inside the farm.
This one had a tree in front of it, which didn't make any sense.
As you can see!
More animals, as I mentioned before the sound is minimal, so doesn't bother them, but I could ask them? ;-D
Turning and churning the air.
A different angle.
Golden Oldies!
Right! Onto an old one, but this is slightly deceiving as the two were a fair distance apart. It's the angle of the shot that creates an illusion of them being close to one another.
This one is surrounded by fields and located right in the middle.
This one was in the town of 'Franker'- Netherlands, very close to the centre.
An old beauty next to a farm.
This one is on the edge of a village called 'Sexbierum'.
Notice the Pyramid in the shot?
Up close
This is interesting! Here's a Windmill being serviced, very brave people!
Thanks for taking the time to have a look and I hope you enjoyed the Windmill show from Friesland in the Netherlands.
