This is my weekly opportunity to discuss some positivity on the blockchain and I invite you to join in. I hang with all week long but about once in a while I pause to create a blog to discuss positive stuff using #thoughtfuldailypost as a tag. Positivity is best when shared and we often have to be reminded to linger and think good thoughts. Now, we have an all-new vehicle in the form of
, to whom I have delegated to boost that curation service!
In celebration of Earth Day, here are a few sentiments as I celebrate the trees that inspire the #treetuesday folks.
Are we but Data Busses?
This is one of those unsigned memes that grabbed my attention for the images. At a quick scrolling glance, the left shot looked like a sports stadium and the right more like a circuit board. Then I noticed there were words!
It is interesting to contemplate our individual role in society and wonder how much of that is designed to syphon our spiritual energy, whatever that is. Pretty spooky to see the similarity between the images and ominous to picture ourselves as data busses!
I choose to find the joy in computing as it is a large part of my business, gaming, and communication with family & friends. I still have spiritual energy for DAYS!
Who designed this circuit system? Who Made Who?
Make Food not Lawn
I will have to admit this is my first time visiting themindunleashed.com and there is an interesting mix of news that will undoubtedly may people on one side of the political spectrum a little itchy. I hope it doesn't screw with the algorithm the internet feeds me as I strive to stay centered!
I will also have to admit that my front yard looks more like the bad one than the good one. I have been slowly reclaiming the back yard with raised garden boxes though and am rather proud of the food we now grow, and the number of flowers that come up every year. We even added an oak tree this year.
Still, I would like to eventually replace the grass with clover and let the flowerbeds continue to expand. Grass is reportedly the most irrigated crop in North America and that is a global crime as far as I am concerned. One step at a time, I am headed to the photo on the bottom and I hope you are too.
I went down the Huey hole while preparing for a concert that was cancelled and, though this song is not about gardening, I can't get it out of my mind because of that last sentence.
Just Part of the Ecosystem
This one made me pause and think. I can become concerned when I see holes in the leaves/fruit or watch smaller plants with stunted growth due to bugs. Reading the other #gardenjournal posts, I am blessed with far fewer things eating my garden than many others. Still, I worry about it and have paused when I see anything being munched by bugs or animals.
Along the lines of weeds being the indigenous species and the things I plant being the invasive species, I should realise that the bugs and bunnies are indigenous as much as I am the invasive species. If only we didn't completely depend upon defending the ecosystem we have so conveniently put ourselves on top of!
I really should be sharing Motorhead but this one is more my era. Those bugs be eating the rich.
This movement continues to gain momentum and now as it is being curated by to whom I have delegated some #hive @thoughtfulposts/thoughtfulposts-introduction-or-a-thoughtfuldailypost is where you can get the details and please consider delegating to help make positivity extra rewarding.
I invite you to pen your own #thoughtfuldailypost any day of the week and spill your wisdom on the world via the blockchain.
