I haven't spent much time on scrobble.life or decentmemes lately as I've decided to finally dive deep into holozing, but not the main flagship game that we've been working on the past couple years.
I could've created branches to add more stuff to that game without risking breaking anything, but I wanted to challenge myself and try something else with a few new tools I found for claude. I'm also considering getting the open beta of unity AI, but for now just making things work with Claude.
Either way, I don't wanna write out too much about what I've been working on, but let's see how it goes, progress has been quite alright.
About scrobble.life
I think the natural next evolution step there is to create a community or collaborate with other communities about inputting movie/tv show reviews under the movies tabs, so that when people log certain movies they can see some of the top reviews based on certain filters, either age descending or hive rewards or engagement, etc, as well as being able to see comments/snaps on the side.
For instance, right now if you click through to a movie, you're able to see the trailer and a few snap comments: https://scrobble.life/watch/Project_Hail_Mary_(film)
Idea is to include full post reviews there as well, maybe even an editor so people can write them out then and there and they'd go right into a community. I still need to figure out the best way for it. I'm also unsure about the movies community, there's been a couple ones but both controversial in their own ways, maybe best to create a new one that'd be tied to scrobble.life. Will have to think about it.
As for decentmemes, I like where it is now, I'm regurarly checking for submissions but they are quite few. Eventually we'll be adding a cost to this but for now the gates are open and I'm trying to curate it somewhat so people aren't just filling it with whatever.
Anyway. In other news.
I had to start a powerdown recently, which I think is the first time in many years.
I thought I'd be okay with just delegating to ocdb and receiving liquids daily but with the way the price of hive is lately it was unfortunately not enough and zing is digging itself deeper into debt faster than I can cover it let alone it's own delegation.
The good news is that AI is coming fast and strong and things will eventually pan out, at the same time it feels like all the money we spent on development has been kind of unnecessary in hindsight, should've just focused more on art and 3d. But hindsight is 20/20, I should be happy we did spend a lot of resources on artwork as that's the thing people dislike the most if AI has touched it which I'm happy that we haven't.
Anyway, I've been keeping busy lately and hoping things turn around sooner rather than later, but the good news is that I'm personally able to work on a lot of things I haven't been able to in the past and that's given me hope and something to do where I feel way more efficient and empowered.
