Memories are made of this...
I am eternally grateful to my late father for the time he spent filming our family activities when I was young. And later on to have the films converted into digital format.
In the 1960s and 1970s cameras were not common, cine cameras were even rarer and smartphones didn't exist!
So I feel priviledged to have these moving memories to look back on.
This collection of snippets begins when I was about 4 years ago. They feature my mother, my sisters and various friends of whom alas I can barely remember their names.
Andy, my sister's Yorkshire Terrier makes an appearance, as does the pet rabbit that caused me to hit my dad on the head with a hammer...
And the film includes toffee apples (remember them?), building bonfires (are they still allowed?), bubbles on the swing, my favourite red tricycle, hunting the rabbit, the paddling pool and slide, and a most excellent go-kart that my dad built for us.
Please enjoy. I do every time.
Happiness and sadness all wrapped up in 2 minutes of beautiful memories.
