A good day to all my dear steemians! When your kids are all grown up, your joy goes down to their fruits, to the extent of spoiling them indirectly. This was our case before. I used to grumble because my kids were quite spoiled that they would take cover at the back of their grandparent's when I reprimand my kids because there were candy wrappers under their pillows and slept without brushing their teeth!
Now I know. At the same time, they understood the responsibility of Parenthood. They remember my cooking and my jams during weekends. Now, am contented having my grandkids around while their respective parents work.
Today, I cooked their favorite fried chicken, one whole leg for both of them and they played hand game as to who gets the bigger thigh! Well, 3rd, my grandson, did the paper sign while Antonia did the stone sign so kuya 3rd won (the term "kuya" is a sign of respect to older person).
Well, chicken is a good source of protein especially for the growing kids. Kuya 3rd and Antonia are both athletes at an early age so they need protein and all the goodness in life!
We have longer bonding since school classes in all levels were suspended due to the NCORV outbreak. I just hope that everything will be okay.
Having my grandkids around makes this day one of my Thursday favorites.
