My Sundays are spent not only in DIY or home refurbishing but also in house cleaning and decluttering. Living with pack rats over the years has its downside. We have managed to accumulate loads of stuff that, upon closer inspection, we don’t really need. I have much to learn and much to do in terms of totally decluttering our tiny space, but I’m totally happy to be seeing improvements. I’m actually beginning to see more floor space! Yey! >.<
So much to accomplish, so little spare time to do it all. There’s daily life & other tasks that need attention as well. >.<
At times it feels frustrating not to be able to do it all in one go. Honestly, that’s physically impossible to do as I do have a regular day job. On top of that, there are daily chores as well. Rest is also important. So the way I do it, I have a schedule to do certain tasks. Right now, I have yet to fix a more routinary schedule. It’s all rule of thumb for now. I know the tasks at hand; I have a list of things to do; I have a schedule for each; I do what I can or what I feel like. One thing at a time… one day at a time… soon, a place for everything & everything in its place.
We packed our pre-loved items and donated them to a church organization that runs a second-hand bazaar. (Segunda Mana via Caritas Manila)
To date, I'm still working on my declutter goals. It took decades to accumulate so much stuff. It will take time to completely simplify and minimize to the bare essentials. I'm a work in progress, but I know that I will get there somehow. _
