If you were a workman or craftsman in ancient Egypt and you were hired help in the field of construction for the pharaohs, then you knew you were looked after.
Whilst building tombs and pyramids of the pharaohs the on site workers were not only looked after well in the sense of remuneration, they also had access to health-care benefits.
More than that, evidence also shows that these men were allowed to take time off from work to take care of their menstruating wives and daughters.
