December 26, 2017, has been by Engr. Tin with her fellow hikers to experience and pioneered Mt. Ulahingan trail and it was such a good day to share the nature and beyond.
She said that it was dream come true. She's been climbing/trekking/hiking different destinations here in the Philippines but never had a chance to be the FIRST/PIONEER. We met Engr. Tin, two weeks ago as she saw our tarpaulin that Mt. Ulahingan is open for climbers. She immediately coordinate with us and was so excited when we told her that she (or with her companions) be the first/pioneers to trek the mountain and since then she keeps on texting us for updates and schedules.
The first choice was December 24, 2017 however due to typhoon Vinta it was postponed to December 26, 2017 and she said that her excitement was never been unplugged to her mind. The set date, they've arrive around 6:00 AM with her daughter and some friends.
A few warm-ups and they've headed to the mountain. The trail is not quite challenging since we did some steps and lanyard to hold onto and the adventure starts.
After reaching the first viewing deck, a little rest then the picture taking started.
And transfer to the second viewing deck on which the view is more amazing and meet with the "Rock Of Ages".
We also happy to have the first 12 year old climber and officially number 1 who climbed the mountain and a birthday celebrant who conquered Mt. Ulahingan. Best wishes Thea!
The tribal community were happy with the outcome and praying for more visitors soon. This project is not all about business. We are reaching out to change lives here. There will be a time that there will be no poor Matigsalog who goes to city and beg for food, clothing's and help.
