Telecommunication companies here in the Philippines are not really good. They are actually one of the worst companies in the world in this industry but they are the best in making advertisements. That is just my honest opinion by the way. But, if you’re a Filipino then you know what I mean.
Most of you may have tried using dual-sim phones or even triple-SIM mobile phones, right? I have tried using one too. Why? It’s because different telecom companies offer different promos and services. This company says they’re the best and the other company says the same thing. So, users will now buy a dual-SIM activated phone and will buy at least two SIM’s, then try both companies’ services. That’s the situation of us Filipinos in terms of communication services. I’ve read a news and this might be implemented in the near future, it’s called ‘The Lifetime Cellphone Number Act’. The proposal is about having one mobile phone number but you can switch from a different telecom provider if you wish, and switch back if you decided to. Isn’t that amazing? That’s a brilliant idea from the author of this proposal.
Subscribers will now have the flexibility to choose which company, who has the best service without compromising of losing his/her mobile number. Customers don’t usually love changing their old number as much as possible, especially if they have that number for a long period of time. So, if you’re one of those who are changing their SIM’s every now and then, you’ll be benefited the most. Let’s just hope that this will become a Law and be implemented as soon as possible.
