Hi Steemit!
Today, I read 's post about her #artexplosion competition, and the latest theme being that of time. I really, really want to compete in this weekly competition; as time has always been a part of my creative practice.
Previously, I have experimented in this field through the medium of video; and still images; however I've never really felt like I've "nailed" a depiction of time.
I still haven't - it is something I might spend the rest of my life doing.
The one thing I never did in any of my creative work, ever; was document time through the medium of time lapse photography. I've done plenty of long exposure photography (and would love to do more!) - I've done astral photography; (and would love to do more) - and portrait photography (I would love to do more) - but I've never ever done time lapse photography.
Today, I tried it for the first time, using my tripod, DSLR, and some software I googled for and downloaded. Below, you'll find the outcomes; which are very, very basic. I feel as though the third is the smoothest, even though it is the lowest resolution.
I will attempt to capture some more stuff, with heavier shadows; and for a longer period, with a more interesting composition, soon. I thoroughly enjoying "playing with time"; and the moving image is the best media for this.
Please let me know what you think! (Even if it is shit!)
