So, last time, if you remember, I've posted photos of the 20 foot container being moved into the hole before building the inside of it... !
So, now I will be sharing some photos of the building of the inside and roof supports to add strength for the container to hold up under the weight of three feet of earth over it.
(This photo shows the roof overlay with treated 2 x 6's set very close together at only 8 inch on centers spanning to the container's walls where the strength is)
The next photo shows the 4 x 6 posts on the inside to add further strength to the container making it very strong!
(You can see the beams in this photo as well as styrofoam boarding for added insulation - condensation control. The 2 x 4's added so I could attach the inside paneling finish work)
(In this photo you see the sliding glass door built into the front end of the container looking out to the downhill view of our valley)
I'm going to stop here, sorry to keep you all in suspense, but I will pick up from here with more photos of the inside build of our underground shelter. I can't wait to show you all the built-in food storage shelving and two, large storage food closets that I've built into this thing! LOTS MORE to come! So, stay tuned to TINYHOUSECRYPTOS adventures for more!
