Let me share a story about 3 good friends- Something, Anything and Nothing. Something always had something to say or something to do, Anything would just say anything and Nothing seemed to say nothing, hears nothing and do nothing. One fine day they argued on who was the most senior- the first amongst equals.
Something said “I believe in the beginning there must have been something.”
“I agree, and it could have been anything” replied Anything.
They argued and argued and Nothing remained quiet the whole day. In the end Something suggested to Anything “Since Nothing is nothing, I believe it’s just between you and I. So let’s ask Nothing which one of us is the most senior”
“You’re absolutely right” replied Anything. “Nothing please just say anything.”
For the first time ever, Nothing broke his silence and said “In the beginning there was NOTHING” ....
That was the beginning of my speech for the International Speech Contest for Division K District 87 Toastmasters. And again I came second among 6 contestants from different Areas.
The champion was again Winnie Raplin, the same contestant that came first during our Area K3 contest three weeks earlier. She will represent Division K to District 87 Convention in Medan in April.

Joining speech contest is fun and will do my best again next year.
