Every day provides us with opportunities to celebrate. Today I invite you to remember and honor the deceased members of our military.
MEMORIAL DAY
It’s Memorial Day,
in the USA.
Many see it as the beginning of summer,
which is a real bummer.
The day was meant,
to be an event,
To honor our brave,
who’ve gone to their grave,
They protected our nation,
or participated in a joint world operation.
It’s a day to reflect,
and show respect.
In the morning our flag flies at half mast,
symbolizes their loss and the past.
Then in the afternoon it flies at full mast,
to show we have overcome and surpassed.
Military men and women paid the cost,
so, that freedom was not lost.
