We started here.
It is considered the poor part of town. Although good for parking a car. You may not find it when you get back though.
When I took the photo I was approached by a very attractive young lady, she wanted a smoke. I said I do not smoke and watched her face change. Ever the sucker I gave her the money to buy a packet. Off she went with a smile.
At least my car was still there when I got back.
I noticed her again outside a shop, she used the money for beer for her boyfriend.
They seem to cram them in in town, people.
Tiny apartments. I note the new government housing scheme wants to make 1 room villages. Might as well just use a cargo container.
We sat waiting to buy a motorbike engine so took in the park. See that little bike on a spring? I rode it for giggles. My daughter rode the wooden horse.
You can not get the essence of speed, but she was spinning fast.
My engine arrived, seemed almost like a dirty drug deal, engine in boot, exchange of cash, off I trundled with said engine.
So we headed into town.
Apparently they used to have royalty here.
I tried to take some photos like I had never been here before.
Like a tourist.
I do appreciate the fact many will never get to see here. I know folks went to steemfest in Krakow, but Lublin is a much different place.
That above is the entrance into what they call old town. I call a high street.
On the floor is this from the 1940's.
A constant reminder of the past.
The architecture is very similar to western Europe.
Hope you liked a quick tour. Will do it more often soon.
