What is power? Well, the Mocanita is the name given by the locals to a train with a steam locomotive. In the past, Mocanita circulated on a railway track and was used to transport trees cut into the valley.
On the Vaser Valley, Mocanita starts every morning, from March to October, around 8:30, so it is recommended to stay in Viseul de Sus the night before, to make sure you arrive on time.
The ticket price is about 17 euro per person and the road is 21.6 km away, to Paltin. At Paltin there is a break, after which Mocanita returns to Viseu. On your journey with Mocanita, you will enjoy a beautiful mountain landscape.
