Lalbagh Fort is an underground Mughal fort located on the banks of Buriganga river in the south-western side of Dhaka. Its construction started in 1678, by Mughal Subadar Muhammad Azam Shah, who was the son of Emperor Aurangzeb and later also himself the emperor.
