I'm excited to partake in another challenge for ! I love this idea of having the community creatively come up with what could replace gladiators. We all know the team is short-staffed so why not have some fun with this and see if we can collectively come up with a community set of cards (as long as they're balanced I see this as a perfect opportunity since these cards can only be earned and not purchased).
Let's get started on my Dominion Abilities for part 1:
Life Ability: SMITE
Each unit on the field gains the Smite ability as long as the Dominion unit is still alive. Attacks have a 25% chance to proc Smite, which does a bonus of 1-2 damage to the target at the time of the attack.
Death Ability: Raise the Dead
When this Unit dies it will resurrect a 2 health, 2 armor, 1 attack zombie with shield and void once per battle.
Earth Ability: The World Tree
When this Unit dies it will heal all friendly units 75% health.
Fire Ability: Molten Rain
As long as the Dominion unit is alive, at the end of each round molten rain pours down on the battlefield damaging 1-3 enemy units for 1 damage each.
Water Ability: Tsunami
As long as the Dominion unit is still alive, at the end of each round 1 random enemy unit is hit with a Tsunami, which drowns them (causing 1 damage and a 25% chance to stun)
Dragon Ability: Dragon Rider
As long as the Dominion unit is alive, the units on either side of this unit gain flying.
Neutral Ability: This is Praetoria!
As long as the Dominion unit is alive, every other friendly neutral unit gains an extra attack (magic, range, melee).
I plan on adding more details and making changes to these abilities as this challenge progresses.
