"Divide and Conquer"?
Was that President Trump's strategy in dealing with his neighbors to the north and south?
There are mixed answers on that although that seems to be the case. Today, it was announced that the United States and Mexico can to a bilateral agreement on trade. This is after NAFTA was scrapped in favor of new trade talks.
The President called this the US-Mexico Trade Agreement. Now it is up to Canada to come to the table. The problem for that country is that is lacks much leverage. The Mexican President stated how he hopes something can be worked out and it becomes a trilateral agreement. President Trump, was less clear.
