TradgeOgre was seized by the RCMP on suspicion of money laundering. By the law, they have to release assets that they cannot show participated in money laundering activities. I expect that my 6K DNX will be returned at somepoint. However, Dynex, despite their constant insistence that DNX the coin and the chain was here forever, have now decided to basically eliminate them next February. If it was BTC, in six months, a year, or three year's time, I would get it back from the RCMP and it would still exist. TradeOgre still has almost 700K DNX sitting in its wallet, possibly more if there are any deposits sitting there from before the move to non-private transactions. Losing those is money straight into the Dynex team's wallet as their scheme to require people to trade in DNX for their new token by February means this 700K or DNX basically gets burned.
I still get a laugh about the Dynex comparing themselves to their "quantum peers". From what I see they still have very few miners actually working on jobs and a total of three qnodes each with one GPU each.( 1 x RTX 2060 and 2 x vGPU Grid A100D 4GB) The compute power that is actually being used is pretty much a joke. One could buy a single desktop with enough power to handle their actual workload. (obviously excluding the background job, most likely "fake" job that almost all miners are working on)
And that "Not your keys, not your coin" is such garbage especially when you need to transfer to an exchange to convert to fiat. That is why my coins were there.
