One comment made at the end was in regards to the fundamentals behind Steem as a cryptocurrency. I have a more 'bullish' medium-term viewpoint. Here are and I support those with these points:
Website Valuation based on traffic (from @summon)
Shapeshift addition will increase purchasing pathways for buyers (send some emails, slackers!)
Visibly vibrant, instantly-rewarded development community (SteemTools from @roelandp)
Clear eyed core development team @ned @dan interview with @dollarvigilante
Potential Risks
No disincentive to Powering Down; this is obviously by design, but I argue for some variability here.
Can't read the future -- no telling what hacks may appear, or what market will crash next. But that applies everywhere.
