I honestly don't know much about options. I do think however focusing on one for the time being would be the best. Surely some of the knowledge from one can transfer to the other. If I had to start again I would look for the right mentor and not be so afraid to spend some money. I would also be more patient and have the setups come to me (using alerts so I wouldn't constantly have to watch the charts). Another big thing, which kind of has to do with the previous bit of advice; I would spend less time on the charts. The more I tried to force learning, the more confused and jumbled my brain became. Then again I would spend 5 - 6 hours looking at the charts and backtesting which at a certain point isn't necessary. Forward testing is king
I am a bit loose with the word mentor. Mostly people online. Alot of it is trial and error, I know of many strategies but I really honed in on one so I focused on finding a person who seems trustworthy for that. Also me and my friend started learning together so we relayed information to one and other. And there is plenty of fakes online and sometimes its hard to discern what is real or not. Right now I am 22, not only did I do this while going to school but also working.
