Being from one of the old tradition from Nepal, I am proud to be a Newar and I miss all the lifestyle, language, food and traditions.
Today I am am posting few pics of the utensil that we use use when I was back in my country. We avoid using the plastic vessels and utensils. These vessels have artistic value as well as more healthier.
Karuwa
Karuwa is the utesil we use for drinking water. We do not use any platic bottles or steel utensils in our traditions.
Charesh ko Thaal
These plates are used for dinning and made up of brass.
Aunti
Aunti is used for serving the liquor during the parties and family gatherings.
Sukunda
Used for praying and offering light to god
Gha
Gha, aka Gagri is used for storing water instead of plastic jars.
