The first thing I did when we went inside the restaurant was choose a table, leave Yongi in his chair, and head to the WC. I hate to say it, but the cold weather makes me pee more often, lol! Thankfully, their comfort room is spotless, so I don't have second thoughts about going there before a meal.
When I returned to our table, the LilGuy was already comfortable in his throne, lol!
The hubby went to the counter for our orders. He asked what I wanted, and I told him to surprise me. We were served cucumber water, and while drinking, the reflections caught my attention, so I got busy with them.
Some ten minutes later, our plates arrived - a serving of beans with traditional smoked pork (locally known as Kiniing), and shrimps. We were also given the restaurant's flavorful complimentary beef soup. I quickly took these pics while the hubby prepared the chili sauce.
We started eating when the server came again with a big tray of Pancit, which took us by surprise (even the husband who ordered it). "Oh my my, that's a lot!" I mumbled, letting out my silly laugh.
"I forgot to tell them it should be half serving," he said, a bit embarrassed. "Well, you can take away whatever you can't consume," the man at the table next to ours butted in. "Sure, no problem," the Farmboy agreed, then scooped some for my plate and his, and we continued to enjoy our meal quietly.
Of course, Yongi has his lil foldable plate/bowl too (we always have one in the car). He loves beans and veggies, and as usual, he quickly ate the first batch I gave him (I forgot to take a photo of it). He didn't touch this second serving just because I added a few slices of the smoked meat (he doesn't like them).
The dishes were tasty, and except for the shrimps, we did not finish both the beans and Pancit.
We were to stay inside a little longer, but then Yongi whimpered, indicating he wanted to take a leak. I had no choice but to bring him to the car so he could use his pee pad, while the hubby stayed to pack our leftovers and to settle the bills.
Anyway, I took this picture of the restaurant's frontage through the windshield. It was raining at that time.
The LilGuy stayed vigilant in the backseat. His harness and leash were removed since it was rainy, and he could not stay by the window.
We left after a short rest (about fifteen minutes).
At some point during the drive, the husband felt sleepy, so we stopped halfway home. He wanted to find something he could chew to make him awake. I requested ice cream, but got nothing. "None of the shops sell any," he said.
It was still raining hard, and some trucks pulled over on the opposite side of the road.
We slowly and safely traversed the treacherous highway from there, even had a side trip to another county for some quick errands, and then headed home.
