In an attempt to force myself to continue learning at double-speed by teaching others what I know, I went ahead and started a group on meetup.com but did not create any events right away. Within a few days I checked back and 21 people had already joined. I think this definitely speaks to the real-world interest, especially important is that people will meet in person instead of always hiding behind anonymity. I scheduled the first meetup for 17 JUNE at the local library, and I will hopefully be getting everyone talking like in a symposium, rather than just speaking in a lecture format. I don't know that much! I just know that it's not as complicated as some people make it out to be, and I want to share that with other non-crypto people, like my friends and family. Now that I see there is a potentially sizable number of interested people just here near me locally, I really hope to establish some meetups where we build something useful, like a weekend hackathon or something, rather than just pontificating endlessly with no resulting action. I will see what I have time for with the first meetup but I'm hoping to get it live streaming soon so that anyone can participate. Would you all be interested in me streaming it on youtube and putting the link to that up here?
