Although the Cant de l'Estoreta is a parade aimed at children, we always make it a point to attend whenever we're in Valencia for Fallas. We truly enjoy this smaller-scale event, as it feels very local and is nestled in the charming streets of the Carmen neighborhood.
Moreover, the Cant de l'Estoreta offers a glimpse into the past when children roamed the streets of Valencia, singing and shouting for people to donate their unwanted furniture, clothing, and carpets to construct Fallas Figures. This tradition allows us to step back in time and appreciate the customs of the city.
The parade itself is incredibly charming, featuring children dressed up in all sorts of costumes, accompanied by marching bands and decorated floats.
